We are very pleased to announce Matt Saathof was given the prestigious title of the East Coast Region Registered Master Builders Carters 2011 Apprentice of the Year.

Judges said Matt was a self-motivated individual who presented himself exceptionally well.

At the awards evening, held at the Tatapouri Fishing Club in Gisborne, Matt received a place on a specially designed Outward Bound course, and either a study grant valued up to $2000, or $2000 to spend at Carters, a Makita circular saw, a Makita volt drill driver and a Department of Building & Housing merchandise.

The finals are held in Wellington on October 29 – we wish Matt the best of luck!
