The Gemco Trades official launch at the Hawke’s Bay Regional Sports Park Grandstand on July 30th was a huge success with over 100 guests turning up for the event. The night started off with bubbles at the door and a tour of the Grandstand which was completed and handed over in June 2010. Guests were then served orderves and made their way to the main function room. Guest speaker Mayor Lawrence Yule spoke about the new Grandstand and the positive effects it will have on Hawke’s Bay, he then thanked Gemco for the great work on such a big project. Darren Diack Manager, Director of Gemco Trades took to the stage to thank everyone for coming along and then to everyone’s suprise he introduced a performance by The Village People!

This was a huge hit as you can imagine! After the performance and a few more glasses of champagne guests were given a special Gemco Trades hammer as a souvenir. Thanks to everyone that came along to celebrate the launch of Gemco Trades Ltd and a pre-opening viewing of the Sports Park Grandstand which we are very proud to have built.
