Gemco are now out of the ground on the construction of the New Wing of the HB Museum, with the scaffolding and concrete blocks walls construction progressing well.
Level 1 pre-cast concrete beams and suspended flooring support structure will commence within the next two weeks, followed by edge formwork, propping and reinforcing steel placement. The first floor concrete pour is on track to be poured in early April as programmed.
The existing Museum upgrade is progressing well, with the new link-way building construction well underway. Over the next few weeks the new link-way will be closed in and made water-tight. Interior Services Trades (Ducting, Pipework and Cabling) to the existing building and new link-way are well advanced.
The Interior fit-out of the existing building will commence once the building is water-tight.
