A seaside purpose-built conference and events facility floating above Marine Parade is Napier’s War Memorial Conference Centre, an iconic building that captures the equally iconic setting with expansive views across to Cape Kidnappers. Proudly partnered with Napier City Council.
The project encompassed demolition to parts of the existing building along with adding two extensions – a circular ballroom and exhibition hall. The building required earthquake strengthening throughout as well as renovations to the existing building. One of the biggest challenges during the project was the weather – combatting strong winds and sea spray and protecting the existing interior.
