About The Project

Gemco undertook a significant renovation and restoration of the Lindisfarne office, affectionately known as the ‘homestead’. The project included earthquake strengthening and meeting the latest fire standards.

Our Approach

The building was stripped back to its core structure, which was a delicate process based on the deep heritage of the building. We recycled and reused as much of the original materials as possible, including native timber like rimu, preserving its original appearance. Work was completed in 2 stages, so as the building could remain operational.
