This 11 month, 3900 square meter project positioned EIT at the forefront of trades education. With extensive research undertaken before the build to identify and evaluate the best teaching models and facilities, EIT opted for a flexible, open-plan layout to accommodate carpentry, panel beating, automotive, gas welding, and machining and fabrication workshops.

Designed and constructed to high environmental standards, this buildings key features include a high specification mechanical extraction system to ensure excellent interior air quality in the workshops, efficient energy use, waste recycling systems, water conservation, use of natural lighting, and renewable building products.
